Getting ready!

So I have a little under a month before I leave, and I've been trying to prepare by accumulating some clothes and necessary items for the trip. They told us that we should bring as little clothing as possible, and they are limiting our packing list to about 2 pairs of shorts, a pair of pants and maybe 3 shirts. It's incredible how they expect me to live 4 weeks on that little amount of clothing? I don't even know how many pairs of underwear they expect me to bring but I'm afraid to ask hahaha.

This last week I was in Utah and I was able to go to D.I. and picked up some lightweight clothing that will be perfect for the trip. I'm excited to just get out there and have some fun with these people! The ruins are going to be gorgeous and I CANNOT WAIT to get to Belize, it's so beautiful! The students going are mostly girls so it'll be a blast. I hope! haha.

Introduction :)

Hey everyone! I decided to start this blog to keep track of my trip when I leave. According to the tour directors, we will have access to the internet from time to time to Skype, Facebook, e-mail, etc. with our families, and I figured HEY! why not take that time to blog about my trip too?

So for those of you who are not aware, on April 23rd of this year I am going on a short study-abroad trip to MesoAmerica. I will be traveling through parts of Mexico and Belize, studying ancient ruins as well as taking classes that will be finishing up my AS degree (FINALLY). I'm so excited for this trip and for the friendships and memories associated with it. I hope that you'll enjoy the trip vicariously through this blog! Feel free to post comments or questions or just come along for the ride!
